also, I love the way the street painting is the same brightness as the lights on the cars. it is a disorienting effect that makes this seem like black ink scratched away instead of a photo. |

That huge sun tilting a heavy cloud and burning a hole through your photograph. Your image, bold and powerful, made me stop. I imagine this irresistible scene was taken through an open car window. It's all about the chase, so we click and continue on our journey. Well done!

- - - -by krnodilComment by streetpigeon: Good morning, Karen. This image has obviously been taken only a short time ago, and I feel that this is almost a conversation. Here's what I like about it. The fence that naturally disappears into the background at the left, waving off a persnickety need for contrast. The lower clouds that catch sunlight on their backs and only present their coyly shadowed faces. The big sun with its indistinct rim. And the huge, dark cloud that sails along overhead and complicates the mood with drama, though I imagine it's resolved in Act II. Fine and rewarding. Enjoy the day. |
