Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. I find that this still life is very appealing because of the arrangement of objects, the color, textures and the way the light plays upon them. Love the soft chocolate brown tones of the background and ground plane of this still life study. The light plays upon the fabric showing off variations in shades such that it highlights the soft feel of the fabric and shows off texture. There are some same variations in color shades that is found in the pomegranates. The round shape of the fruit is then also repeated in the shape of the vase. The inclusion of the single autumn branch in the vase adds a interesting curved line that bends down over the fruits thus leading the eye's attention back to those objects. I do have a critique and that is that there are two deep shadows that appear on the backdrop. What it does is breakup the flow of the texture and color shading of the rich brown background and introduces two shapes that detract. It is not the objects in the scene that are casting any shadows, but whatever it is could have been removed to as not cast that distracting shadow.

I think it may have been a little better to crop tighter on the pot and the far left pomegranate. Cute out some of the dead space :) Just my .02
