It's an interesting shot, I like the texture of the bark on the tree. I think I can see the face (or what looks similar), but I dont really see any despair.

I'm curious to know what made you cut the picture off on the left side and include this pole that seems unattached on the right. The picture isn't too bad, looks like you might've lost some picture quality in compression judging by the lines being not so fluid. Overall not too bad, but I think a better crop would've served you well

I've seen that sunstone before. I'll have to check back after the challenge to see where this was taken. My guess is Nauvoo Temple. I've never seen it though. If it is I'd like to see your shots of the whole thing.
