My suggestion (for what it's worth) is to give this athlete a little room to drive his vehicle (!). In other words, give him a bit more room to drive into and he won't look so penned in...

It's really great lighting and action. I like it a lot.

Very interesting choice of crime scene. I like the angle of the sign in the photo. Also the blue in the upper right corner gives a view of the open sky. It also proves that competitive photos do not always require a lot of pre-work sometimes a great photo is right in front of us if we only take the time to notice.
