Padlockedby noranekoComment by JuliBoc: I really like this shot. The textures and color and subject are all excellent. I gave it an 8, probably because it just doesn't have that extra WOW factor. I really don't have any suggestions on improving it. Maybe Bob's idea of changing the background to black would give do the trick. But then the nice monotone aspect of this image would be lost. |

Padlockedby noranekoComment by bmartuch: This is very well centered and I love the OLD look to it. Once again, your detail is extremely sharp. I really like your new lens. If I were you, I would thank my husband everyday for that wonderful gift.
You know, if the background was all black, this would be fantastic.
edit: btw, I gave this a 6. It seems I give all of your shots a 6 or higher without knowing who it belongs to. Message edited by author 2007-01-10 08:40:31. |

IMG_ForestForTrees.jpgby noranekoComment by JuliBoc: I was out shooting today, and took some nature shots with no focal point. And I was thinking about all the comments I would get about that if I posted them on DPC. I was wondering why that is so important for a good image. I decided it isn't important for a good image, but probably is for a great one.
I like this shot. I love the pattern created by the trees, and I really like the soft greens. The branches seem to be wrapped in a giant group hug. It's the sort of image that I can spend a lot of time with. It is relaxing, uplifting, and allows me lots of room to think for myself. I think it would be very nice in a giant size on a large wall. |
