It looks like there's some strange editing around the tree branches. Without that (and without the annoying border) this would be a lovely shot. The b&w is a good choice with the different lines and textures.

I quite like this and tried a similar thing myself. Ill probably see a few more like this too. To me the lack of colour gives a forlorn, alone feeling in a way. I may like it more if it was a little more off center but to me you wont lose points for it.

Very creative. Love the border on this one. Nice tones. I think it would have been better without the tall flowers. They are too dark to see and trying to make them out distracts from the letter, rose and candles.

A wonderful idea, I had a secret love in high school who I never did revel myself to. The shot is a bit dark for my taste and if the note was shown where an actual name was on the bottom would complete the concept. A bit more light would score this one much higher for me. Starting with a 5, I'll check it again.

I'm back, the darkness still bothers me a but but the overall composition of the shot and the candles make up for that. Maybe if the cropp had come down a bit from the top. Going from a 5 to an 8
