I had something similar in my shot, a knife near a cut up potato. I was advised that a clean knife would be best, but it really just made my photo look fake, that the knife was put there as a prop, which of course it was.
My shot's far from being liked, though. So maybe clean's the way to go for good shots.
You have nice smooth lighting.
The knife might be a little over bright and catching the eye a little too much. The fries are nice and clean.
The table is a little dirty. I think that adds to the character of the shot, but others mightn't agree with me on this.

Nice shot.. But may be you could have arranged the pieces together or scrambled them alltogether.. and definetly cleaned the table a bit.

Pretty tones, soft lighting and certainly fits the challenge. The focus is off a bit though. At first, I thought it was a soft focus but, the background potatos are in focus so, it's got to be the focus being off in general. Still a nice photo 6

shot is a little blurry - and, IMHO, would be more dramatic if maybe the bottom part was cropped off so that the berries were on the bottom 3rd rather than the center. i also tried to shoot (ripe) blueberries and i couldn't get them in focus very easy. could have been because my daughter was picking them and shaking the bush, though. good luck!
