Week 7 - Ready to Set Sail Captainby CapeSailComment by salmiakki: I do know what you mean about the sky, although it doesn't really bother me as this picture is really about the man. I like the pose and probably wouldn't have noticed the tight crop at the bottom if I hadn't read Jason's comments, but of course, now I have I notice that too. (Note to self, write first, read other comments after). Also, and this is somewhat nitpicky from me, but I find the conversion a tiny bit flat. I think the collar is probably a little whiter than it looks here, so I would like to see it with just a bit more oomph. (That's a technical term...) |

Week 7 - Ready to Set Sail Captainby CapeSailComment by Stiger: I can just echo Jason's words here. I like the pose. I don't mind that there's not much going on in the sky. You want the focus on the man, not the background. Excellent detail. I like the crop where it is. The hand on the post is right where it needs to be in the frame. It lets you start at that corner and follow the lines of his arm right to his face. |

Week 7 - Ready to Set Sail Captainby CapeSailComment by jasonlprice: Very nice! I love his gaze off to the right...This portrait wouldn't have been nearly as good for me if he had been staring at the camera - following the "rules". Also the tones are excellent and the sky has plenty of detail for my taste.
I'll practice a little for next week's critical commenting and say that I don't really like the tight crop on the bottom. I would love to see both hands because they are so interesting and tell a story on their own. |

Week 5 - Lake Georgeby CapeSailComment by nikolaos: Pretty impressive for a handheld pano. Wish it was a little bigger though so you could see it better.. this size does not do just to panoramic images. |

Week 6 - Fairhaven High Schoolby CapeSailComment by salmiakki: I don't have much to add that hasn't been said already. The angle you have taken this from is great. I presume you were crouched down a bit to get the steps included in such a dramatic way. |

Week 6 - Fairhaven High Schoolby CapeSailComment by SherwinJames: Awesome Point of View. I wondering if you could have eeked out a little more contrast in the building (or maybe the color of the building - in comparison with the sky - didn't allow for it). |

Week 5 - Lake Georgeby CapeSailComment by tnun: This is delightful! A worthy panorama because the lines, all the lines, fit the stretch. What this must look like large, with all that up and down across the lake under those obliging clouds. And Lake George! Used to make canoe trips there in spring and fall. |
