Week 3 - Hannahby CapeSailComment by twmax: Nice portrait of your daughter. There are really minimal shadows, and they aren't hard, so think the lighting is good. Sometimes the total lack of shadows flattens the look too much.I especially like the sharpness/clarity of her eyes. The light out of focus background is perfect for her dark clothes. |

Week 2 - Denageby CapeSailComment by em3: You're very lucky to have a beautiful girlfriend who will pose for you! I like the pose, it's very relaxed and she looks comfortable. You have already received goog advice from others so my only advice to you is lots of practice! |

Week1 - Is It Feeding Time Yet?by CapeSailComment by jasonlprice: I like this composition..with the placement of the horse and inclusion of the fence. The horse seems very unconfortable though..like it is nervous about being a model. If ever an animal had a "forced pose" this is it :) |

Week 2 - Denageby CapeSailComment by colorcarnival: I cannot give any advice on portrait lighting either. I can say that to me, the light below creates some odd shadows, and she does not need to have her hand to her chin. She does look comfortable posing for you and she's pretty! It will be fun to see how your work progresses with portraits. |

Week 2 - Denageby CapeSailComment by trevytrev: I'm no portrait taker when it comes to lighting set up, so no real advice on that. I do like the catch lights in her eyes but the hand to the chin seems akward to me. i do like the tilt of her face and the composition. Very pretty model, should be easy to practice! |

Week 2 - Denageby CapeSailComment by twmax: I don't think I've ever done a portrait, so am really out of my element here. You have a lovely girlfriend, and think if anything, I'd like to see her eyes a little better. |

Week 2 - Denageby CapeSailComment by wickee_one: Your girlfriend has a great smile. I am no portrait expert, in fact, I know very little about it but, I would say a little more light on the left side would really allow her eyes to stand out more. |

Week 2 - Denageby CapeSailComment by Ken: I can't add any more to the technical side of this that hasn't been said, but you've still captured your model well. |

Week 2 - Denageby CapeSailComment by pineapple: You teach me that gentle semi-revealing lighting all over can work in such a situation. It is a bit of a flirtatious light in that you make your viewer work hard to gain the picture. |

Week 2 - Denageby CapeSailComment by Sonifo: Very pretty girlfriend. She has a lovely smile. I would suggest bouncing some light off a white poster board or something to make her eyes stand out more. |
