I would have rotated so that the tower wasn't leaning. But nice composition

Very nice composition, the lines of the fountain lead nicely to the tower. The focus and exposure seem a bit soft though.

this is an effect that IMO is a little over done in DP. But having said that i gave this a good score.

Greetings from the Critique Club.

Ooh, an image I commented on already... I seem to like it more this time around.

I just Googled Dora Dollhouse, and apparently, yes, there is indeed a massive childhood trend I've missed out on, "dora the explorer" comes up with roughly 2 million hits. So the subject matter is good. And as Melethia already commented on, the picture nicely captures that bright-coloured plastic feel of pop culture. On second thought, I should've given it a higher mark.

The lighting is decent (although there's a bit of a glare from the flash on the plastic - maybe possible to fix in pp? or using a polarizing filter?) , the composition is interesting (with the slight flaw of the lampshade). I think the direction of your daughter's gaze actually works well - there's something a bit mysterious about it, it makes you want to figure out her expression (that's what drew me into the picture the first time I looked at it).

So yeah, on hindsight, I think this should've done better. Maybe a lot of people didn't recognise Dora as a symbol of pop culture.

Anyway, hope this helps. PM me if you have any questions.

Jelena
