take offby MacDonaldComment by MacDonald: Sigh...... my swan turned out to be a goose..... my falcon turned out to be a hawk ... Bear with me good people as I learn my birds... still was a lot of fun getting those shots and I appreciate vtruan's identification. :) Message edited by author 2006-01-31 11:12:37. |

take offby MacDonaldComment by vtruan: FYI,
Falcons have pointed wings. This is a nice shot of a red-tailed hawk. Van |

take offby MacDonaldComment by macrothing: Nice capture. 'If only' the very tip of that wing in the frame (but you know that). Nice composition and colors - quality dependent, this at 640 (width) be even better in my opinion. The face/eyes look very good. Not sure if the framing is intentional or not (and apologies in advance if so), but on the right and the bottom there is a thin white line. |

capitola jewel boxesby MacDonaldComment by MacDonald: Thanks for your comments...... doing a little happy dance here... and I agree about the cropping.. I am waiting until I get good enough in Pshop... grin.. I got this shot from a high walkway so not a lot I could do about the angle.. when I go back I will check out other access points..... it's in a town called Capitola. about 90 miles south of San Francisco - I have a few other angles of these buildings but didn't get a chance to process them yet Message edited by author 2006-01-19 12:03:58. |
