she looks like she's on the older side .. no offense ..
almost hobbling .. and bent over .. but of course thats just my take ..
our bodies show the time we have spent on this planet .. although its difficult to do .. we should embrace the changes .. :) |

A Pair and a Pearby DistantColoursComment by willem: Such still life compositions are all about shape IMO. Especially on the left pear you can see the light coming from two sides, while the pear still shows a dark patch in the middle. Also you can see strong shadow in the right of that pear and a strong shadow on the left of the second pear. This gives a strange shape to the pear. It would have been better to use a single large light source (softbox or light shining through a sheet or light in umbrella) and then control the light and shadows gradually with additional soft reflectors where needed. In that way you can sculpt the pear and emphasise its shape. |
