Water Towerby SEMComment by SEM: Thank you for the comments. This crop was not my favorite of this shot. My internet was down so I went to the local library to post and discovered the other files just over the 150kb limit. I had another crop that I straightend the tower as it did seem to be leaning a little. Oh well, I am in this to improve my shots, thanks again for the comments. |

Water Towerby SEMComment by Sheryll: This could be helped imo by recomposing a little to the right and zooming out just a bit to get more sky. Maybe a little bump up in contrast as well. |

Water Towerby SEMComment by bergiekat: This looks like a red striped spider, grin! Nice simple composition. Good negative space. |

Water Towerby SEMComment by dahkota: honestly, this image, while well taken, is on the boring side. There is no ground attached to the water tower, giving me a sense of place, nor is there anything active happening in the sky. I just wish there was more of something other than what is there. The focus and the colors are great, this image just suffers from lack of meaning. |

Water Towerby SEMComment by Evil-Chihuahua: Nice shot. Seems like tower is leaning though. You might also try using a polarizing filter on your lens(if you don't already), it would make your sky a darker blue and make your subject stand out more. |

Why can't every day be like this?by SEMComment by Frankie_Lv: Hi Scott,
This has the making of a wonderful image I hope you still have the image on file. I think you just got caught in photographers no mans land. What I mean is the cloud cover is nice and whispy great formation but not being very thick allows to much sun to get through. A polarizeing filter used correctly here may have helped to reduce the glear, or cropping out the sun all together and useing a warming filter would have helped. There is a nice warm golden glow to the image and bringing more of that out replacing the sun would have helped you greatly here. Like I said if you still have the image try cropping out the sun and try a plug-in to enhance that golden glow, I think you will be very pleased with the outcome. |

Why can't every day be like this?by SEMComment by boyd2000: Good composition and rule of thirds. It has the makings of a very good picture, but the sun is overpowering and the boat isn't sharp. Hard to resolve shooting into the sun. |
