An interesting photo. It just seems to lack detail on the subject. Were you trying to focus on the very tip? because I think it fell slightly further down. Believe me, this is a major critique of my own macro photography. I still love the colors. If the focus were better, I would probably bump this up 2 points. I gave this a five, but it's better than all of my other five photos... 6

DMC. Stamen (?) inside as the flower is opening. I would have scored higher if the stamen had had more DOF, hard to do to keep the petals out of focus I know.
