Comment by Ken:
I like the natural vertical lines created by the white birch trees and how they are coming up from a nice diagonal created by the stream. A bit more contrast may emphasize this effect even more.

I'm guessing that if you shot in panoramic mode your display was lopping off the sides. Just a guess. I think that the panoramic mode on camera just masks (or chops off) the top and bottom and you're not really using the full area of your sensor. If you shoot "regular" mode, then you have control over how to create the panorama.

I think this certainly has a story to tell. To improve it, I would do what the others suggested and try shooting from closer to the ground.

Nice contrast between the snow and water. I also like how the waters edge has lots of texture from the brush and then the water is so smooth.

Very interesting picture to look at. I love look at houses and imagining the type of people that live there. I wonder what the picture would have looked like from a lower perspective.

White and white, simple geometric curves, make for an elegant composition which contains the elements of illustration, your photo reminds me.

I feel the door closed, the house in change yet not accessible. The porch is there slightly welcoming yet the house reveals little. I am reminded by your photo that each image has a slightly different psychological association for each viewer. The visual story can vary widely depending on ones state of mind. The lack of light bespeaks sadness.

Very pretty scene. I love those trees! One thing I do when taking pictures is look at the composition and move myself around so I can get the rule of thirds in check and or leading lines. hehe..even if you have to get in the middle of that stream to get a good shot..haha..just kidding. That's the joy of being a professional. Just look for different areas were you think you can get a better composition.

This almost looks like a doll house. Were you on a hill when shooting this? I would like to see a lower angle as to feel like I could step right into that scene. I do like the flag! That really adds great character to the shot along with the other fine woodworking. The tones seem a bit gray..maybe a bit more contrast but just a touch.

Very simple and pleasingly effective. The composition with its contrasting angles works well. I think you are close to getting there with the 3d aim, but I can't offer you any advice here! A photo that I do like.

Like the curve of the river and the birches very much. Agree with previous comments about snow being too bright and the fact that you can and should crop out the dark areas on the sides.
