Weirdly enough, I agree with you about the shadows. All three of them should have shadows. How he does not have a shadow, I don't know. I think it sort of fell behind him. It was pretty uneven ground and I cropped to make the ground straight versus the concrete bank and I was also shooting downwards. Behind his back leg, there is a faint backwards shadow going towards the dip of the bank. It's a great but odd optical illusion!
