The background is to light, needs more color and detail.

I remember seeing a few scenes like this as I went to the outskirts of Central London. Wondering if it's the same? Good Luck.

Would you be willing to explain this?: "Chose a 14:9 style crop to give it more of a cross-processed dramatic feel." How does that work exactly?

What I meant was that I cropped it to a 14:9 ratio, similar to the compromise crop ratio used in movies-for-TV conversion, to give a cinematic edge to it. My grammar was not good here and the x-process bit was irrelevant in context of cropping, but was useful in giving it that urban, gritty dramatic vibe, such as in the film 'Kes' or 'Nil by Mouth' perhaps.
[edited for typo in grammar!]

A really strong photo that fuses landscape with socio-documentary. I have returned to this several times over the week, and it continues to impress.

....and then the doves attacked the man, pecking his eyeballs and eating him to the bone. After they had gorged themselves, the person that voted this a 1 dropped dead, and the doves pooped all over him/her.

Congrats!

A lovely back-lit image that brings to mind thoughts of a distant time and place yet it could be in your local park. A rare thing for DPC, an image that tells many stories, has no oversaturated colorĂ¢€Â¦.. and it has a ribbon? Is this a change of the guard here?
