Well, you've already commented on "doing the out of the ordinary" thing and converting to negative. While you meet the challenge (bug), as a photo, it is not so appealing to me. I love macro and close-up photography, but I mostly like it looking natural. Also, I would've never recognized a finger here if you hadn't said so. On the plus side, I think you have a much more interesting original to work from and not converting to negative would be a big improvement in my mind. After all, it's always cool to catch those bugs on "film", you see so much more of them then you see in real life. :)

Interesting color mixing here. It works, though. Nicely done.

The house looks rather rural. The subject of your photo is a bit unclear (everything is ditracting). Perhaps - no girl - rotate for a straight line on the roof - and the ducks - in colour. Pretty cool the way you captured all the ducks heading in the one direction.

"but it helps"?.........larger f-stop number for greater depth and less brightness on background

A cute shot -- may have been stronger with a little better lighting on the subjects.

I like the way the child is going in the opposite direction to the ducks I think a quicker shutter speed would have helped

Great photo! Magnificent! I was just about to stop voting for a while, but I'm glad I didn't. I think it's really funny that the ducks are going the opposite way, esp. with the title. It makes me read it in a demanding frustrated childs voice. :) I'm scorin this real high. One of my favorites.
