On the merits of the photo, good focus, action captured, nice settled tones on main subject, sky too light for me (damn isn't nature a b!@#$ for not giving you aqua blue?) but shutterspeed a tad too slow as right gloved hand blurred. I beleive in stopping the action dead in it's tracks or not at all.

DMC. Stamen (?) inside as the flower is opening. I would have scored higher if the stamen had had more DOF, hard to do to keep the petals out of focus I know.
