I'm no expert, but I think you've done well with the exposure on the mane, giving it an ethereal feel especially at the ends and the whispy loose hairs alon the neck.

This is probably the most interesting entry to look at in the competition. Don't get me wrong, some of the other entries are beautiful and have more of a 'wow' [or a 'phwoar'] to them, but this certainly provokes a different reaction - as good abstracts do. I like it for that reason as well as the textures and colours.

If i could have voted in this challenge it would have scored highly, probably a 9 or 10.
