Daily Churchby russiComment: A lovely choice of subject but somewhat lacks impact IMO. It would help if you rotated the image a few notches to the right too. Excellent focus and choice of apeture... very well balanced! Best of luck in the challenge! :D |

At the Docksby goinskiingComment: How was this done within legal "basic" editing? Nice concept though. Good luck :) 8! |

Lick itby kanolandComment: The purple glowing wood just looks unnatural... its just weird on such a shot IMO. i guess this was done with a hue adjustment to get the flame orange. Also, the picture looks too pixelated (jagged) maybe because of digital zoom. But the focus is just right btw. I hope this comment was useful. Good luck! :) |

Cookie Jar Break-inby lwkimagesComment: I don't know, but IMO, the setup of this shot just doesn't make it dramatic enough. I guess, IMO, this would've looked better in a natural setup rather than studio type. Nevertheless, a good concept. Good on the technicals too (ie. focus, choice of light) Good luck :) |

Tangerine Crossvineby PDavisComment: The focus is either off or you were intentionally focussing on the leaf. The flash on this shot doesn't work well either IMO. A longer exposure would have been better. In fairness to camera's where you can't adjust those settings try using the "night" mode (moon shaped icon). Also if you don't have a tripod, use some place where you can put your camera while its taking the shot. (window ledge, railings etc.). And to fix the focussing here, center the camera where you'd like the focus to be (in this case, the flowers) by half-pressing the shutter.. while your finger is on the shutter, recompose the shot and press fully. Try it and let me know if that helps. Good luck. 4 |

poppys on the mountainby thomkatComment: Almost perfect... 1: the stems in front of the shot look as if you cut the flowers. 2: the two poppys on the right handside is too close making the picture seem unbalanced. 3: the horizon is slanted, IMO, a different angle would have made this shot more effective. 4: very minor, being the blue sky on the left is oversaturated. But a very good choice of subject nevertheless. Very appealing. Good luck :) 7 |

Sweet Toothby HessF3Comment: Interesting angle you chose. The lighting is a bit dark though... Good focus is a plus. Good luck. |

Orange in motionby kosmikkreeperComment: I like color on this. Excellent composition. A bit soft on the focus though IMO. I guess its a good thing that she's not wearing an orange top... it would've been overkill! Hope you do well with this... Good luck! 8 |

silentby YuliyaGComment: I hate to be blunt but a dead fly, IMO, isn't really appealing. Nevertheless, very good on the technicals... excellent DOF and focus. Good luck. 4 |
