Would like to see more of the 'process' of what is going on here more strongly somehow communicated in the picture rather than just the title. Perhaps shallowing the DOF to bring out the main subject better and then some long exposure blurring with it spinning back and forth would have given it more impact.

Oh very nice! The lamp, watch, and sepia tone all capture the 'golden age' of science feeling very well. One of the few submissions that really gives the real feeling of 'science'....rather than just some things that technically match the theme.

I was hoping someone would do a Dr. Frankenstein shot. What could capture the feeling of 'science' better than a mad professor in his lab? Excellent Igor...but I wish Frank looked a little 'mad'er. He kinda looks more like some busboy or barista on campus. Also wish we could see his science equiptment with a little more impact...and heck, some smoke never hurts.

Would be a very good shot for the monuments theme, but as most of the submissions only really communicates science if you are expecting to look for it.

My favorite of the microscope submissions...and one of the best overall. Coloring, background, composition and model all help bring out the feel of the 'process of science' which unmistakibly communicates the 'science' theme clearly and strongly.

Overall really works well.. Love the reddish coloring on the dropper against the bluish background. Although the background arguably has some distracting areas to it, the DOF iis perfect. My big dissapointment, however, are the smudges and spots in the testube. I think it really distracts from the main droplet focal point and unfortunately loses alot of the clinical feel and hence the impact.

Man is that a great bridge. What a find. Really like the way you shot it too...the framing, exposure, and the way it fades into black. Ha...good title.

Talk about composition perfection. You should add 'MOC' to your professional title. Tom Helsel, Master of Composition. Another beautiful shot for your portfolio.
