Second Mortgage!by Firstrich1Comment: This has a nice postcard look that manages to hint at a trace of emotion - but of course only the emotion that the word "corvette" and bright red brings up. Nice composition, though. |

An Unfortunate Cookie by thelselComment: Just as a response to thelsel's explanation of this photo, you should know that fortune cookies originate purely from the marketing culture of Chinese restaurants in the US. They don't come from Korea, China, or anything truly Asian... but in any case, I still stand by my earlier comment that this is a good photo. Message edited by author 2003-11-26 18:45:00. |

Be yourself, Be different, Stand out! by KINGComment: Technically this is an attractive image. In terms of content, it does seem to fall a little flat for me. The command to be an individual seems so much more thrilling than these chess pieces can allow for, and it's like you're almost reducing the ideal to something a little mundane. I think you can still use the chess pieces to spread that kind of message, but you'd have to make a more radical image - right now it's like trying to tell someone to "be unique" when the image itself looks like it's a stock photo for magazine ads. But don't get me wrong! it still does look good visually. |

America, 2003by muckpondComment: Although visually it could be a bit more interesting, this is perfectly suitable as an editorial in a newspaper - good thing you\'re one of the few this week who use your image alone as your 1000 words (i.e. not relying on your title to send your message). |

Enlist Today!by tomlewis1980Comment: Technically, this is a vey good photo. However, as this is intended to be propaganda, the wooden guy really doesn't add much to the power of the photo. I think if you're going to advocate this subject, this would be a case where real peopel would be lot more persuasive. Hope that made sense. |
