Old Shipby tvsometimeComment: Great great great perspective. It's interesting, it tells a tale -- this rigging and booming is how we get closer to heaven. It keeps us afloat. It's bigger than us. Great texture to that sky. I'll bet if you got rid of the bow and figurehead and concentrated on the rigging you'd surprise yourself. |

Advanced Editing allows for filters, and Photoshop is a very valuable tool, but you've let it be the main reason your photo is cool. Why don't you explore what shadows and perspective can do to transform this from website background to adventure photo? |

This old barnby giantmikeComment: What's that tree doing in the upper right corner? Serve a purpose, or is it an attempt to imitate framing you saw in Nat Geo? You've got a great subject here, and you didn't explore it, which is a waste of your time and talent. |

This is possibly the beginning of something iconic; maybe not vintage and maybe with a different subject, but I would encourage you to develop this setup. |
