Natural water textureby anshalin1Comment: I think this is nice. The lighting really gives a feel of the water. I wish the toning was different - a little bluer perhaps? |

Grizzledby casualguyComment: Black and white works well with this shot. Texture is great - sharp, clear focus. Subject - eh, okay. Composition is pretty good. Lighting is good, but I would do something to change that dark shadow under the lip. Something to light that area slightly so the contrast isn't so stark. |

TuLipsby Bela45Comment: Texture is okay. I would have liked more in focus areas to "feel" the texture more. A little less white in the upper left too. |

"Nose textures"by cathysappComment: Now that's a closeup! Textures are certainly there, but the photo itself isn't particularly appealing to me. |

Prickly Texturesby ArtifactsComment: Great colors and texture. A cactus of some kind, but do you know what kind? Might have preferred this from a slightly different angel so that the blue sky wasn't in just one corner. Nicely done, however. |

Soft as a featherby willemComment: Unfortunately, I don't see a whole lot of texture here. Too much detail is lost in the lighting. It is, however, a cool photo of the swan. The shadow in front and strong light from the right just doesn't bring out the texture much. |

Brick and Rosesby banmornComment: This shot just doesn't grab my interest at all for some reason. I think part of the problem might be the brick being behind the flower seems to lose some sharpness of focus which is so important in conveying the texture. |

Ruffledby shareinncComment: Great texture shot. I just want to reach out and touch the feathers. I like the angle because it certainly puts the emphasis on the feather and their texture....not just the bird. Technically would have liked it a little brighter if it could be done without losing the detail. |

Saltinesby gpiersonComment: The idea here is okay, not great but okay. The photo technically needs some things, in my opinion. The lighting is too harsh and seems to make the crackers look mushy. I would have also preferred color. |

Impressionby puyaComment: This is a neat looking abstract and does fit the challenge. I wish for a little sharper focus and more contrast. |
