Very nice shot. However ... is this really 'fill flash'? It looks like 100% studio lighting to me? Maybe I just don't understand the term 'fill flash' ... anyway, very nice photograph. Congrats!

It is a very nice picture - but for a Ansel Adams contest, I wish you had put the snow in a zone 8 rather than a 9 or 10.

This just sticks out. I was just clicking thru the entries. This challenge is pretty open as far as the subject is concerned. When I saw this one I decided to log in and comment.
You can almost feel the fiber paper and the heat of a hot, sticky day.
I hope this one makes it all the way to the top of the challenge.

It looks like two but it is really just one shadow - nice combination of shadow and non-shadow. I also like the scary tension that adds to it - there is a before, a now and an after to this picture that makes it more than just the regular now-timeframe of a regular picture.
