The light coming from outside sets the mood of this photograph. Unique, broody in a good way, simple, dramatic black & white treatment and effective minimalism.
I am not fan of the thick white band on your border. Maybe a thinner one is better.
My taste may be weird but this is a great photo for me. |

This just sticks out. I was just clicking thru the entries. This challenge is pretty open as far as the subject is concerned. When I saw this one I decided to log in and comment.
You can almost feel the fiber paper and the heat of a hot, sticky day.
I hope this one makes it all the way to the top of the challenge. |

| Interesting - I like it. The frame is way too strong for me though and I do think the subject is wanting for some other focal point - such as an object highlighted in the rays. Difficult composition too since your subject occupies only a third of the space but it's sitting off-centre. |

| Absolutely wonderful use of light and shadow - the black and white presentation works really well especially as you've included the extremes of the tonal range - lots of black and just the right amount of white. |

Best: Most dramatic image yet...and its a FAN!
Worst: if only there was a dimly lit person or object in lower third, it would be stunning |
