\\\\by frumoazniculComment: can't decide if this has the best or worst title ever. still, i'm not judging the title, it's the photo that's important. actually, no, scrub that, the title is brilliant because it LOOKS like your picture. the use of multiple sources of light isn't really that obvious here, unfortunately. but i like your use of focus. it could also do with a bit of grain reduction (neatimage which is freeware is good). 6. |

Dolphinby hallswelComment: good choice - i was trying very hard to find something that might reflect light in an interesting manner... however, to achieve a great score, blurriness and a soft focus is a bit of a disadvantage. was this taken with the camera in your hands? if so, may i recommend putting the camera down, maybe on a pile of books or cds (or get a mini 6 inch tri-pod for like 20 bucks / 10 quid) and using the timer built in the camera. no shake, and perfect focus will be yours. the brightness could also be toned down a bit - try playing with the brightness and contrast on whatever software you have. compostion though is really good, and the choice of colours works well - the red background is lovely. |

Balls Go, Balls Slow Down, Balls Stopby starlight autumnComment: where in the name of all that is holy did you find a set of traffic lights? i'm deeply impressed! i'm intrigued to know why you decided to focus the light on pool balls though - i can't help but think an opportunity was slightly missed by not having something longish and metallic. i'm deeply impressed with the set-up though. a bit of even spread with the focus might help (the balls at the front appear fuzzy); as would moving the camera to the right a bit, or using a sheet of glossy white card off camera to the left reflecting the light sources, all so we can see the balls lit up (all we see is the shadows and the light on the sheet). interesting shot that looked quite fun to do. 5. |

untiteldby EladComment: looks like a nice cuddly cat, but the number of light sources employed to assist in composing this image appears to be singular. this doesn't fit the challenge, sorry. |

My car has 2 light sources !by menardmamComment: The idea is good; the title might need some development... i like how the ehadlights illuminate the dirt in front - pretty good effect that. however, might i suggest that you position the camera on a more stable surface and use the timer to take a picture? i'm guessing the shot was hand-held, which inevitably leads to minor levels of shake and fuzziness. DPC is a pedantic bunch who always harp on about focus... the silver colour of the car suits the monochrome appearance well... incidentally, my uncle just got a c-class - they're very nice. if it were sharper, 8. as it is, i awarded 5. |

City Streetlampby photomComment: of all the reflection themed entries, this is the best. the excssive curvature of the street lamp gives an interesting image and the scene that is reflected looks very attractive (could almost be airbrushed onto a crashhelmet). The various shades of blues are also pleasing to my eye. good job. 9. |

Fracture Of Lightsby PeshiksComment: of all the light bulb pictures, this is by far the most ethereal... you've almost constructed a whole new world for DP Challenge - looks like a sci-fi film set... i think the quantity of the black in the background draws the eye away from whats going on somewhat (if the bulb was lower this effect might have been reduced) but in all, a damn good composition. 7. |

light sourcesby anshalin1Comment: i'm afraid i only see evidence of a singular light source (big star in the sky); unless of course you're counting the reflection from the glass as the second source? the shot itself is great, the building (good choice of monochrome) looks very cool in a gotham city kind of way. i do think the sky might need a bit of a play with - it just seems a bit weird, probably with the textured appearance produced by the clouds. excellent striking image - just a bit unconvinced with the title. 5. |

TheLights! The Lights! AAARRRRGGG . . .by drgsoellComment: it's cute, but there is such a thing as overkill, you know. you've totally obliterated the detail on the central thing (looks like otto from the simpsons). i honestly took the challenge to infer that you should shoot something illuminated by multiple light sources, but i guess this technically fits. seriously, how many torches do you own? i would like to have seen a shot taken higher up at a different angle, so that only the reflective surface filled the shot - the dark background doesn't really fit in my mind. this is certainly a strange but humourous one... |

Almost Goneby JesuispeureComment: of all the camera looking out of a ? in this challenge, this is a definite favourite. you've been it an interesting image to look at, primarily by enhancing the shiny metallicness of the inside of the bag. and isolating the interest (i.e. the focus) to the hand and the bit of popcorn in the immediate vicinity of the hand is also very clever. in all, brilliant and absorbing. 10. |
