This is the only 10 i felt to compelled to give this week. Sheer comedy value is obvious, but the fact that I feel it's one of the (very) few compositions that falls within the remit of the challenge, and shot exceedingly well, means that for me, it's the very easy winner, and must be ribbon-worthy. nice one, and well done :)

Where You Can Hear Yourself Think

One word immediately comes to mind upon viewing this one:- Elegant. I think it's quite wonderful, definitely conveys quietness, and it's understated appearance really works. Only slight criticism is that it might be nicer a bit squarer, possibly with the tree filling the space a little more (with a little less foreground?). Don't know, it's more a preference than a criticism. So 10 it is.

This a new 3-series? I don't know - it's a good choice of subject, but I do think you've chosen a fairly ordinary aspect of the design. True, everyone seems to focus on light clusters and the like - but your shot is more about providers of great design, rather than the design itself. Also I thought the trees reflected are a wee bit distracting - perhaps a bit of cropping might be good..? I want to give this a 6.5, but I can't, so I'll round it to 7.

This would look great in a company brochure! I love the geometric feel of circles and edges around the arm. I wonder though if you considered getting rid of the Numark sticker in the bottom right - the grey around the sticker is pretty uniform so it should be relatively straight-forward to copy a small square. I just find the sticker distracting... Still, I think this is a super shot, taken at a great angle, with a very clear focus and totally fulfills the challenge criteria. 9.

It's a good image, but I not really convinced this fall under the remit of Design and Engineering. Very pretty, not very relevant, but a nice image all the same. 7.

I'm a total sucker for neon, so I'm naturally drawn to this one. The detail is impressive, and the concept of shiny metal buttons screams of the challenge. Very well done, good choice... Unusually, the border also actually compliments the image. 10.

This is from one of my current favourite cars - the gorgeous Range Rover. Personally, I think the rear lights are more impressive, especially when the break lights come on... Anyhoo. This is a great choice of material for the challenge, and you've captured it very well. Super focus. 9.
