Autumn in the Rockiesby dwterryComment: The contrasts of colors and textures is very nice in this image. The composition is very clever in capturing all of them appropriately, except, perhaps for the little blotch of soil on the bottom right, which sort of bothers the water. Perhaps if the camera was a few inches higher, a better compromise could be reached.
The lighting is really nice. It looks a bit sharp for an overcast day, falling very directionally. Maybe I just don't see enough of these in real life, but I think it really makes the picture stand out. |

Blazing Pampasby strangeghostComment: The composition of complex subjects is usually quite difficult to attain. I think a slightly tighter frame could help. Maybe cropping a bit so that there isn't as much of the stems in middle. It will be difficult to balance the left part of the frame though.
The exposure is brilliant. Especially the fact that the background actually has color, and isn't a washed out grey. Is that the sun? I suspect it isn't, but I have no clue. |

The Lines of Autumnby mrorange002Comment: This photo brings up beautiful memories of princeton...
It's been so long since I've seen such an autumn. *sigh*.
Thank you! |
