Cool Technologyby mattchristopherComment: IHMO you should have left in the top and left-hand edges of the fan, or cut them out much more. As it is they look like you just missed giving them enough room to be in the frame. Not sure what you were doing with the color/color balance, but the tone isn't really sepia and isn't proper balance, so seems a bit confusing, too. The background detracts a bit, too. There's some shelf or something at the top that has a shadow that breaks the concentricity of the fan. The pole or whatever is coming up out of the back also leads your eye away from a smooth track. Hope that's helpful and not too jarring. |

Photo Storageby brad177Comment: I just tried it and it really looks a lot better with a much tighter crop. Especially losing the foreground, but if you cut it close enough so the stuff in the back is almost gone and the front is cropped just enough to save the shadow, it's a pretty interesting shot. Hope this is helpful. |

Water and Smokeby RosacalacaComment: This would look really good with better lighting like a single spot or a two point setup. It looks a bit too snapshot-ish and not dramatic enough. The idea is good, I think, but it lack punch. |

Horsepower!by MarjoComment: Nice idea, decent composition and crop, great dichotomy between the images. Very appropriate and original title. My only criticism, but it's a biggie, is that your highlights are blown and it's too contrasty. |
