No offence, but I think the face is the most important part of this shot. pointing the camera up to the sky has under exposed the face.

This is a great shot shot. I may be wrong but I have seen a copy of it on an English forum recently. The photographer writes about timing the shot, but this can be overcome by making a little gadget consisting of a sensitive CRYSTAL MICROPHONE, an OP AMP, a TRANSISTOR and a THYRSITOR to trigger the flash. Only two shots required. One to set up the exposure and one to take the shot. the sound of the droplet hitting the water fires the flash. I have taken many shots, for instance a dart bursting a balloon.
