this is a delicate image - really clever - how did you do this without selection tools though? i.e. how is the face well exposed but the shoulders bleached out to nothing?

Total stillness. Really atmospheric. But if i was being picky... tighter composure of the shot to remove the smaller bird in the grassy / reedy bit would have made even more of that all important negative space. but I guess you'd have had to have waited for the birds to move a bit first! cool photo though.

this is really cool - you seem to be alluding to the ultimate negative space occupied by the towers themselves - and the sign itself occupies a kind of referential negative space by having a non-existent destination as its subject. and patriotism too! plus of course the formal composure which involves heavy negative space. pretty amazing stuff. did you have to camp at the subway for long?
