Thank you for the excellent comments and scores. I̢۪m sorry I didn̢۪t have the time to vote in this challenge.
I later regretted using this title - the song to which it might allude is wrong for the innocence of the girls.
The cut off feet is the biggest dissappointment - gotta take more care - the picture will never happen again. I agree that it needs more light from the left but I would never use a flash fill in this situation, The girls knew I was shooting but I was being as unobtrusive as possible, I had the little camera on my knee while they were watching their teacher be introduced to two of my students (we are working on a community project across the road). The girl on the left is Carolina (pronounced ‘eena), her mother helps cook for us.
I guess I wanted to be a bit like Henri Cartier-Bresson in the neighbourhood with his quiet little Leica rangefinder.
I̢۪m glad some people liked this a lot - I do. There are two other pics from this day that may be technically better and just as engaging that I will post in a month or so when I get home and work on them.

I changed my vote on this 3 times (7 in the end). If the challenge had been 'Twist my gut", it would have fared much better.

Many of the pics had other things that drew focus away from the mother, but this one works! Maybe its the wonderful smile, maybe its the colours. Well done.
