Wow, I really like the effect you've created here. It almost looks more like a fine painting than a photograph and that really appeals to me. I like the way the grass and trees frame the shot nicely. I think you are right about it being the kind of shot that many would tag as being subject-less. That's OK... let them do so. Those people are the ones that can't see the world for what it really is... a wealth of hidden beauty seeking discovery and this is what you've captured here. A hidden corner of the world. Serene, beautiful, and waiting to be appreciated. They say boring, I say WELL DONE!

Love this shot! Road/path shots are so emotive. The detail in the grass is awesome. I would have included part of what was above the horizon in the shot, but that may not have been the best option at this site. One would have to see the lay of the land to know. Beautifully done.

Very nice photo! I think some may comment that the wash from the sun on the sand is too bright, but I dissagree. If you had made it darker you would have lost detail in the flower. Two things I would have done different myself. First I would have stomped that wheat-like plant flat so it is out of the photo. It draws attention away from the flower in the center. The second thing I'd have done is to have gotten closer. Filling the frame would also have helped draw focus where it was wanted. Overall this really is a lovely shot.

Very well captured and framed photo! I think the sepia goes very well with the challenge category. The photo does seem grainy and pixelated and I felt that it drew away from the clean, hard lines that make the old locomotive an inspiring piece of machinery.

Would you believe that this very model was my first "good" camera? Since it has long since been replaced... I guess it is indeed "obsolete". ;o)

b/w was an excellent chioce for this photograph! Very well framed, and I like how you made the axle the lower boundary. Concrete block behind the cannon does glare some, so a slightly quicker shutter speed may have helped make it perfect. Overall a very nice pic.
