Iron&Fire Live!by NunoComment: Good capture of expression. The slanted composition is a good idea in these settings. I like the light background too. 8. |

As I Saw Itby scaloComment: Great tonality. I like the concentration of his face. 8. |

Play'n The Old Time Music by GolferDDSComment: I like the attempt at this one. The setting is dramatic. The subject is a little overblown (in his banjo and the lighting on his hand). The hat is a nice touch. I like it enough to overlook those technical faults. 8. |

Sounds of the Undergroundby PixelstateComment: We knew there were going to be "street performer" pictures. This one is second best in my mind. I love the addition of the two spectators watching as they walk by hand-in-hand. The tonality and contrast are done well. 8. |

Intermezzoby jjbeguinComment: I'm trying to be both strict about the interpretation of the challenge and open minded. Of all pictures where music is not actually being played, this rates the highest. The colors are beautiful and I love the grace of her hand holding the bow. It's too bad the hanging guitar slightly distracts. 8. |

Singing her heart outby pacpintoComment: The green fog makes this picture rate higher than I otherwise would have rated it. Excellent contrast with the pink. Such clashy colors work for "rock". The performer seems to be a little under exposed. 7. |

Alice Cooperby hedinnComment: A nice "rock" picture. Alice is an icon, of course. I'm not too thrilled how his crotch seems to be so prominent. The belt buckle saves it, but still the angle is a little too severe. 8. |

Animal Alphaby tkjaerComment: It's tough when you submit a picture where someone else has photographed the same subject. Head to head comparisons are inevitable and the other picture is superior. I do like the green lighting in the back of this one. Her shirt is blown out a bit. The two foot long cigar is certainly outrageous enough to make for an interesting "rock" picture. 7. |
