This is an excellent picture. Meets the challenge perfectly. Execution is pretty much flawless. Composition is original, especially cropping the face at the forehead. Maybe you've pushed the contrast a little bit too far, though. Some areas are darker than they should be. But overall, a great pic.

I just love your choice of subject. Faded velour couches definitely evoke a strong sense of nostalgia (at least for me). I think contrast is the main issue here. For example, is there a way that you could have emphasized the difference between the faded and not-so-faded partch of the fabric (perhaps more sharpening?). I really think you have a good image here but that it needs a little bit of a boost from post-processing.
