I like the way the fog lays across everything. The ice is really neat.. I can't decide if it's really sharpened or if it's the snow on it.

Wow, I didn't know Utopia had a phone number. :) This is a neat little building. The power lines in the corner are a bit distracting, but not too much. I like the effect that the shadows have on the inside walls. I would suggest that a larger image would be nicer - easier to see. :)

A Splash of Blue

I'm a huge fan of these shots. I just love them. This one's really interesting, because the edges of the splash look like snowflakes. If the base of the splash and the drop were more focused, it could make this an extremely good shot. :)

I like the flow of the tree and clouds, but for some reason the car seems almost out of space.. I can't quite put my finger on it. It does appear a bit oversharpened, or perhaps saved as a regular jpeg? I really like the tree, and I am repeatedly drawn to it. :)

I thought this seemed like a neat idea. The problem, for me, is that nothing is actually in focus.. except possibly the spot just below the bottom corner of the eye.

While this is actually a good shot, it does not meet the criteria set in the challenge rules:
For the purpose of this challenge, "wildlife" should be considered non-domesticated mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians living in a natural environment.
I get your point, because of your title, but the title can only carry it so far. As for this particular image, it's well-focused and the model stands out well against the background. Sorry to see it used in the wrong challenge. Good luck with future challenges!

Grasshopper.

I scored this image low because, while it has the potential to be a good shot, nothing is in focus. It almost looks like a grasshopper on top of a bigger grasshopper, on top of a rock or tree. I am not sure what the curving line is exactly, though it seems to be a blade of grass. This could have been a really neat shot if the grasshopper(s) were in focus. Especially if it is two grasshoppers. :) One other suggestion: One of the edges of your picture should be the largest size allowed by the contest: 640 pixels. Good luck with future challenges!

Passing Time

I can't quite put my finger on what it is about this that I'm not super crazy about. I really like the tree.. the color of the sky is really nice.. I think it may be something with the ground. The bright rocks(?) at the bottom catch my attention nearly as much as the tree.. and I think the perspective is what's throwing me. It looks a little like the tree is too small for the picture. Overall, however, I like it, and I love the tree. :)

Very cute child. :) I like that her eyes are very clear, though there's a slight grainy feel to the whole thing. I'm a huge fan of B/W work, so that's a plus in my personal opinion. But overall, I really like this image. Nice job. :)
