Thanks everyone for your comments. I am really surprised that 1. so many people gave it below a three, and that 2. so many people gave it a nine or ten.

For me personally, this is one of my favorite pictures that I've ever taken. Maybe it could've used a little less green, but I've played with it a lot and been very happy with it in many incarnations. And I had to pick one :) I definitely felt it was better with a little color as opposed to black and white, but also that full color detracted from the shot.

The picture definitely conveys a sense of dizziness for me, although I'm not sure how much I like it. And i'm not sure what else to say... sorry, I want to be more helpful than I'm going to be this time.

What's that crooked line in the background of the picture? It kinda distracts me. The picture itself isn't bad, although I'm not sure I agree with your decision to crop off your left ear.

Great idea with the frame. I personally think there is a little too much light on your left breast, but it doesn't detract from the shot much. Nice facial expression and pose... well done. Maybe lose the watch, and I'd like it if the whole background looked how it looks at the bottom of the picture.

The white background combined with your neutral facial expression makes this feel like a rather sterile photograph to me. Still, the rollers are great, and I like the white space... I'm just not sure what it's saying. And even though the name indicates you're getting ready, the 'location' of the picture indicates more of a prepared shot. Perhaps if there was a mirror or something? some other prop. still, I like it :)

Excellent picture, great idea and execution. Kinda surprised the border of the actual picture isn't identical to the border of the picture in the picture however :)

Interesting use of color. The scuba gear and water are definitely nice. It'd be kinda nice if the right side of your face wasn't completely encased in darkness.
