Nice composition. Try wide open aperture for shallower DOF to blur out the distracting background.

Nice color contast works for me, allows a small figure to be a properly dominant focus. Reducing the amount of hazy foreground somehow would help, maybe just crop differently.

Just a little too subtle, and too much out-of-focus foreground is annoying - consider cropping the front edges of the foreground cans.
