Archeologists have found that in the absence of knowledge as to what Flamingoes eat, rusty nails were fed to flamingoes at Tower of London in its zoo in medieval times... |

I LOVE surreal! Surreal is odd. Brilliant. De-centralise it so that the nest is on a thirds intersection, I bet it looks even better |

Certainly unusual and unexpected. Rule of Thirds would have helped this a bit. |

Love the use of nails. I bet this one took a while to set up. It came out beautifully and the feather adds a lot to it. It might be a bit nicer if it was a slightly closer shot. There seems to be a lot of white space in this photo. |

This is a great shot, but the title is not. Can I suggest "Nail Bed" ? |

Good idea, and nicely executed with good color, and interesting additional element of the feather. I like it a lot. |

I thought this shot was very well thought out. If you hadn't separated some of the nail bits from the nest look-a-like, it would take a lot more time to come up with what it was. A very odd nest it is. The white background works very well with the rusted nails, giving it a good contrast. The feather added for effect is very innovative as well. I gave an 8 for this shot. Not because it's not an awesome shot, but compared to a very few others it's lacking a few more eye catching element. The background, like I've said works well, but looking at it for a while, makes me think it's too much white. |

8 - Like it. Criticism; maybe not so much 'space', or else slightly off centered, not sure. A little sharper focus/definition, ideally on both the eggs and nails, but even one or the other, would have made this better in my opinion. Not sure on the white background, works but, a little 'sterile' or 'empty' type of feel in my opinion. edit:typo

Please assure me that you did not steal those eggs from some bird's nest? Great concept though. |

You have an interesting concept here. I think it would have come across better by taking a close up of the eggs, feather and nail without so much negative space and playing with the camera angle. |

Took me some times to see the nails but I really like it even if I think it may be a little too centered...7
