Lonely Treeby GinaRothfelsComment: I really like this composition - well done. I would like to see what some additional adjustments (levels or contrast) might bring out - as an image like this would really benefit from from true whites and true blacks, with so much gray. Extra point for the composition. |

Floral Party II (Asian Lily)by ralfwComment: Originally posted by Bernard_Marx: This is nicely done. That is great clarity and magnification. I would love to know how much was cropped. |
Thank you! To answer your crop question, not much at all. I only cropped to alter the ration from 1.5 to 1.33, nothing more. (Meaning I only cropped on the left and right, next to nothing on the top and bottom.)
Thanks for asking.
Cheers,

verticalby RetroesqueComment: Love the composition on this. There is discussion of the overlay, which I'm presuming is the pattern that was added in post processing. It's an interesting touch, giving the wall a tapestry look and feel - good for 'textures'. This would be an interesting shot printed onto canvas.
Cheers,

Peaceful Warm Winterby apashackComment: Great colors, but for my tastes, a level horizon on this shot would be preferred. Excellent capture! |

A little slice of Heaven...by shamerComment: I like what you were going for here - but my preference would be for a depth of field that covers the subject, the slice of dessert. The tip is in sharp focus, but I would like to see the focus extend to the decorative leaves. |

Opening The Doorsby jaimeDpComment: This composition really appeals to me - it's very interesting.
The highlights are too strong however (my 2 cents) - meaning blown highlights distract from the image - but again, an excellent composition! A good entry! |
