Landing at Sunsetby zadoreComment: I love the colors and lighting of this picture. Looks like you didn't have much time left to grab a picture like this either - but I think the sun was in the PERFECT place. Maybe would like the plane a little more up and left - but I can imagine it being hard to grab a picture like this in any case. |

The Letters will Light the Wayby The_DentistComment: Honestly not sure I understand the title and picture totally with out reading what you have to say about it - but I do like the picture. Perhaps he's a troop overseas and the letters he sends and receives are his own personal light in the darkness, or something to that effect? Regardless - I do like the picture! |

Luminated Vase in Darknessby gwe21Comment: Sorry - over all this one doesn't really bring me in. On my monitor atleast it's very very dark as I'm pretty sure you mean it, but not so much how I would like it personally. I'm really not sure what to say in regards to how I would prefer to see it - but maybe just a little more detain in the vase or something. If you had not mentioned it being a vase (and if it is important enough to say so in the description I suppose you want people to realize it) I would have thought it were a bottle or something really. Any glass object, really. |

Who's who?by SzerwoComment: Haha, I like this one. I believe it's my favorite so far into the challenge! Looks like it's very evenly exposed on my monitor and all the collors save for the cyany cast in your reflection. |

Green Leavesby 777STANComment: Originally posted by Jutilda: I like the diagonal sense of the fronds. I might play with levels or curves to enrich the depth of the overall tones. The focus seems to be on the one in the lower right corner or maybe I need more coffee. ;~p |
In terms of the focusing, most of it has to do with the f/3.5, such a narrow DoF doesn't help the photo. The bokeh in the back is good in that it's not distracting, but I would have to agree that it does lack a little punch and over all ingenuity. Remember also, that your main subject doesn't have to lay in the middle of the frame. |
