Endlessby gg3rdComment: For an image that's in the top 10, I'm surprised it received only 1 comment! Possibly because the voters found it nice and agreeable, but not outstanding? Atleast, I do.
I like the subtle color gradient - from orange at the top to the blue at the bottom - the sky reflection. If it were me, I would make the lines go the other diagonal way - possibly a silly personal preference :-) The dark reflection of another building at the bottom left is mildly distracting since the picture doesn't have a strong subject other than the pattern itself.
Congratulations on the top10 finish. And I agree - the building's indeed a nice subject. |

Field of Fireby Bill666Comment: Way too cool! I wish it had a stronger subject than just the light rays - I vaguely remember seeing a similar shot on 1x but with a stonger subject, though I can't find it now. Still, my favorite in this challenge, and I hope it ribbons blue.

Energy vortexby tunnelvisionComment: Neat idea executed very well. Would've probably liked a cooler tone better to imply the title, instead of the warm hues here. Nicely done though. Good luck! |

The Fortune Teller by gyabanComment: The crystal ball is a nice touch! Lots of details in this picture that are well thought out and executed. Would've like a teeny bit more light on the head wear to bring out the color some more.
I somehow feel that there's something lacking in the stare. It's intense, no doubt, but focusing neither into the crsytal ball nor into the viewer's soul - feels like the person's staring at my chin?
Still, my top 5 in this challenge. Well done. |

Sex at the Drive Inby tfarrell23Comment: The title required a bit of imagination :) The picture is an instant wow! Very nice idea well executed. Hope it ribbons. |

Surface Tension by KarenNfldComment: Congrats on the ribbon!
Technically well done. Might've placed even higher if there were no light box reflection in the water.
Reminded me of Gaurawa's shot:
which in turn was inspired by a picture posted on BBC. Message edited by author 2011-07-25 14:57:53. |

010101101000001by GroggyComment: Beautiful! It's fabulous that there are no reflections on any of the flat module surfaces. My top5 in this challenge. Also, I hope you have the permission to post this image in public. |

Galah Featherby jomariComment: A very delicate image with sensual color combination. Love the drop and it's pattern magnification. I even like the light source reflection in the drop. Would've loved some more breathing space around the feather, but I understand this is a macro challenge. The little bit of noise in the whites and the central placement of the drop are keeping me from scoring this even higher. |

Bubble and splash by william88Comment: I suspect you might be william88, but in case you aren't, possibly the best picture I've seen of this sort is william88's "Momentary Sculpture" .
Here, you have the red water doing very well against green backdrop, and the full bubble floating around is just amazing timing. The only thing keeping me from giving a 10 is that the picture feels a little unbalanced - there should be a bit more on the left side and chop of a little bit more on the right side. Still, I hope you ribbon. |
