The Passage by gyabanComment: It's funny how I haven't been on for about 2 years (?) and yet I can recognize your images. Not just because you're in them but because of the distinct style you have.
I felt that this image fit the challenge topic really well on it's own and with your explanation even more so now.
Thanks for sharing the image and the accompanying thought! |

Fly No Moreby otto22Comment: Oh! Is this outside of Churchill, MB? I might be a little (a lot) jealous! :)
[Edit]...or Iceland. Still jealous |

be more adventurousby NeatComment: I like the potential of this image. The colours seem a bit over saturated though and you have haloing around the kids. My suggestion would be to let them go dark and have silhouettes. |

mission lightsby HUETHComment: Looks like I haven't written a critique for the Critique Club in...5 years? Ouch. I am overdue so you're the lucky recipient!
You chose a great scene to photograph. I really like the colors and the small motion makes this a unique take on the image. I'm wondering if you had a shot where you under exposed a bit. That would get rid of some the details (like around the door) that aren't really contributing to the shot. You could even try just darkening the shadows in post to see if that has that sort of effect and see if you like it In Lightroom, for instance, you could just bring down the darks slider.
Looking at your score it's on the low side but that's simply because of the technical side. It's blurry but you knew that though so I am guessing that you decided to take a risk and try to reach people with the image. I'm glad you did because these kind of images are fun to make. |
