The colours are warm and realistic, and you got the subjects in DOF. Your lens and your camera work, that's a check. Is there anything else to say?
There is nothing interesting about the animals, they simply are lying in a rather senile manner. These are your prototypical lions, in a pose commonly seen in any zoo. The shot does not reveal any interesting details about the animals or their behaviour or environment.
Compositionally, both subjects are in the same plane, which is boring, the background is blurred, but does not leave a good impression (the bokeh is not pleasant (look at the twigs in the top left), and there is nothing extraordinary about the colours). The framing is not very tight, but neither does it leave any space. The right front paw of the left tiger is cut off quite indecisively. So, there is no interesting point of view, either.
So, the bottom line reaction: I wasted my time by looking at this picture. If I type "lions" in the Google Images search, I get much better images. |
I did have a goofy smart ass comment ready but considering how touchy everyone has been lately I'll skip to the end where I say, Thanks for taking the time to comment even though I may not agree with some of it ;) I do appreciate your honesty.
Cheers,

Tweak, tweak, tweak....That's the problem sometime, once you heal the broken foot you find the bunion. :) |
Yea I mite have another go at it tonight and try to get rid of some of the bigger distractions, I did try a heavy blur on the background which did get rid of all the distractions behind the buck but it just didn't look right. |
