meets challenge, but the background, lighting, and subject just aren't that interesting or seem that creative. even though the cup is highlighted by the dof, it still gets lost near the top in the dark bowl in the background.

meets challenge, but needs lighting and compositional work. santa is too much in the center. not sure what the light highlights are moving down the middle of the frame, but they are distracting and don't add anything to the image. the surface that the santa is sitting on isn't very attractive and the color is distracting from your main elements; would have been better to drape the white background across the surface. sorry - 4.

meets challenge, but not a very inspiring or creative picture. the lighting could be a lot better--left is blown out and the right is muddy. the distortions of the lens make also this seem off-level to the eye (although, looking at it closely, i don't think that it actually is. sorry - 4.

Okay, you meet the challenge...shallow dof, check. But composition-, artistic- and creativity-wise, this falls pretty short.
