I am not sure if the centered composition really helps this one. I like the textures in this but the composition leaves me stuck in the middle of the photo.

Honestly I don't have a problem with the straps. She isn't naked and I am not sure that having her shoulders bare would add to the shot because the viewer would be thinking about the fact that she might be naked. I like the purple too.

This is an interesting contrast to the rest of your work. I would love to see this in black and white, or maybe with some more smoothing on the red curtain in the background. So cool, photography is such a great way to express your emotions.

Nicely exposed, I think the photo would be far more effective without the pumpkin and plants in the background. It would have more impact on the brownie having so many candles in it.

I definitely don't think you took the editing too far. It is still so raw and natural. I would like to see her shoulders more relaxed but this is a lovely commercial headshot.
