Flowing sheets of paperby IreneMComment: Stunning composition. The tumbnail makes the paper appear to be flowing out of two pipes. Having the pages of one book darker than the other provides an interesting contrast. Love the originality. |

Falls at Tanyard Creekby Winsome4sureComment: Having a bright boulder front and center takes away from the main subject of the image. Getting a bit closer might eliminate the bright rock, display more of the waterfall advantageously, and allow the green leaves framing it to take less room and have a more subdued role. It probably is a wonderful place, but having this in the Light Bulb challenge looks like a mistake (if so, please accept my sympathy -- it would be nice to have a way for the site council to approve withdrawal of such mistakes; if not an error, I'll be interested in learning the connection to the topic). |

The Art Criticsby ottersdenComment: Love the sense of humor. I suppose anyone giving this a very low score would have to belong to the group of twisted critics illustrated here. |

Herring, bulb and onionsby hajekaComment: Unusual combination makes me want to know if there is something that ties the objects together. Nice lighting of the objects and shadow beneath the platter, but to my taste the upper third of the image might be nicer a little lighter. |

VARIETYby TonyTComment: Nicely exposed, but the glass edges get lost in the swirls of fur. I find the black bands at the right and left sides a little too wide. |

The light we seeby sfaliceComment: Nice graphic simplicity and sharp focus on the filament. Diagonal orientation seems appropriate. I like the yellow-orange and blue, which have associations with light bulbs I have seen. The green is an acceptable artistic choice, but I would have liked less of the green arc, mostly because of my own bias and experience. Nevertheless, one of the higher scores from me. |

Powerby acoppolaComment: Very impressive, exposure. Of course, it leaves me wondering how you managed to get a bolt that does not fork, as if made to order for this challenge. |

Cursed Contrailby hahn23Comment: I like the thin light green line, which is just strong enough to qualify as "a single line" in my estimation, and helps make the contrail much less distracting. |

Single Coiled Ropeby sherpetComment: Almost hypnotic - I find it easy to come back and look again and again to appreciate the geometry, sharpness, tone balance, and nice composition. If up to me, this would ribbon for sure. |
