The dim light and snow make me feel cold just looking at this. I like the contrast of the mountain (harsh, figid, wild) with the town (flat, cozy, sheltered).

Lens Baby Alley

When we glance at the hidden, unattractive back alleys and electric meters, out attention usually highlights just a couple of key aspects while the rest could just as easily be blurred and unnoticed. The lens baby effect imitates this well, which I appreciate somewhat to my surprise (I like many kinds of blur, but usually don't like the lens baby results).

After appreciating the graphic on the wall and the use of motion blur to "hide" the walking child, I came back to look again and found myself noticing and appreciating the mix of colors and texture on the sidewalk. Interesting combination.
